The name ‘Tahitian Bridal Veil’ is sometimes shortened to simply ‘Bridal Veil’. This cultivar is often mislabelled as the species Gibasis geniculata, but it actualy belongs to Gibasis pellucida. It is not a Tradescantia, but a cousin in the same family – Commelinaceae. Other genera in this family are often mislabelled as tradescantias anyway.
