Tradescantia ‘Maiden’s Blush’

£3.00£4.00

Tradescantia ‘Maiden’s Blush’ is a cultivar of an unknown species or hybrid. It has sprawling or creeping stems with succulent green leaves which develop unusual pink patches when grown in cool conditions. It occasionally forms small white flowers.

Outdoor-grown cuttings will be showing pink variegation when they arrive. Indoor-grown cuttings will generally be plain green, but the new growth will turn pink when kept in a cooler spot.

This cultivar is often mislabelled as ‘Blushing Bride’, but that name actually refers to a completely different plant which is no longer in cultivation. Tradescantias are commonly known as inchplants, spiderworts, wandering dudes, and dayflowers. For more information about plant naming and identification, take a look at the main Tradescantia Hub website.
