Cyanotis beddomei is sometimes labelled with its botanical synonyms, Cyanotis kewensis and Belosynapsis kewensis. This cultivar is often sold with its common name of teddy bear vine. It is not a Tradescantia, but a cousin in the same family – Commelinaceae. Other genera in this family are often mislabelled as tradescantias anyway. For more information about plant naming and identification, take a look at the main Tradescantia Hub website.
