Tradescantia zebrina is a trailing tropical plant with speckled stems and silver bands on the leaves. ‘Tikal’ is a peculiar cultivar with pale leaves which develop red pinstripes in bright light. This plant has a tendency towards leaf curling and brown spots for unknown reasons – it is not the result of pests and does not spread to other plants.
