Tradescantia zebrina ‘Purple Plush’

Tradescantia zebrina is a trailing tropical plant with speckled stems and usually silver bands on the leaves. The ‘Purple Plush’ cultivar is an unusual type with no silver bands on the leaves at all. Instead the furry leaves develop reddish-purple pinstripes when grown in high light. It sometimes forms small pink flowers.
