This clone has no formally accepted name, but is usually described as “dark form” or simply as the species. Tinantia pringlei is commonly called Mexican or spotted wandering dude. It is not a Tradescantia, but a cousin in the same family – Commelinaceae. Other genera in this family are often mislabelled as tradescantias anyway. For more information about plant naming and identification, take a look at the main Tradescantia Hub website.
